Fly in a Gyrocopter!

What is a Gyrocopter? A Gyrocopter looks like a small helicopter.  It is the ultimate way to fly.Unlike most other forms of flight a Gyrocopter flies slow enough and low enough to allow you to see what is happening in the world below, whilst at the same time providing a truly exhliarating experience.  This is the perfect way to view the landscape.  In our open cockpit Gyrocopters you get an unrestricted view of the world around you.

The book "Flying a 'New Generation' Gyrocopter" will tell you everything you need to know about how to fly these fantastic machines.  This quality book, with 102 full colour diagrams, contains all the briefings required for pilot training.  It is clear, concise and has the odd touch of humour.

It is the only book available which has been specifically written for 'New Generation' Gyrocopters and it is fully up to date.  It is not a general purpose book on Gyrocopters, there is no "history" section or repetition that you can get in any book on Gyrocopters.  This is 100% geared towards learning to fly and all the examples relate to the MT-03.  It also contains the information that you need for the PPL Gyroplane Technical exam.  It is ideal if you already know "how to fly" and you "want to learn to fly a Gyrocopter".

The simplest and most cost effective way to get an experience flight in a Gyrocopter is to attend one our our group experience sessions.  Each session will cater for around 5 people.  Most people will have never flown in a Gyrocopter before so you will be with like minded people.

The session will start with a joint briefing which includes an introduction to Gyrocopters, explanations of how they fly and the important safety briefing.  Your instructor will also show you around the Gyrocopter explaining the controls and how things work.  Then each attendee will get a flight in a Gyrocopter lasting around 25 minutes. If you wish you will have the opportunity to take the controls and fly the Gyrocopter for yourself.  Otherwise you can sit back and enjoy the spectacular view.

Gyrocopter flying training is provided by the Gyrocopter Academy (part of the same organisation as the Gyrocopter Experience)*.  The Gyrocopter Academy has fully trained flying instructors who can teach you to fly Gyrocopters.  The flying training follows the official CAA sylabus for PPL(G) licence.  This will enable you to fly Gyrocopters for pleasure and also take passegers (subject to medical restrictions).
